One of our favorite things to do, is to get out in the community and meet other small businesses! 

This past weekend Johnston Communications had the opportunity to partner with Burd’s Bar and Grill for their grand opening celebration! We met with the owner of Burd’s Bar and Grill about a month ago when we installed Dish Network at his bar in Lohrville, Iowa!

The owner of Burd’s, Rick Burdine, met with Jason Bell, our manager in the Carroll office, to discuss our small business packages. Rick told Jason the story behind his bar and why it was so meaningful. Burd’s Bar and Grill was formerly known as Ivy Joe’s. When less than a year ago, the owner of Ivy Joe’s was tragically killed in a car accident. Rick said that to him and the local community, re-opening the bar and grill means so much more than just a place to grab some food and drinks.

It’s stories like this that make us want to do more of what we do, offering our incredible services not just for residence, but for the community as well. At Johnston Communications, we strive to put the customer first, every. single. time. We take so much joy and pride in doing the best we can do. We love getting involved in the community so when the grand opening at Burd’s presented itself, we knew we wanted to do something special.

We gave away 4 different prizes throughout the night including a 50″ HD TV! It’s all about giving back to the community in one way or another. We want people to know that Johnston Communications is here when they need our services for TV, internet, and security surveillance!
